The BrineRIS project has been instrumental in identifying the litho- and geothermal potential of brines in RIS countries. An interesting case is the Beiuș Basin area (northwestern Romania), where sampling has made it possible to obtain reliable data that was unavailable before. Due to the unexpected effect of the sample analyses, the project partners decided to write a research paper presenting the data and results.
